EGYPT ART DECO

A LANDMARK PROJECT DOCUMENTING AND DISSEMINATING EGYPT’S IMPACT ON GLOBAL ART DECO, FROM FASHION TO FILM, DANCE TO DESIGN, MUSIC TO MEMORY OF CITIES ACROSS THE GLOBE. THROUGH RESEARCH, PUBLICATIONS, EXHIBITIONS, AND INTERVENTIONS IN THE PUBLIC REALM, THE PROJECT COMBINES ART AND DESIGN WITH TECHNOLOGY AND URBANISM.

Launched in July 2025, Egypt Art Deco is a project surveying Egypt’s influence on global Art Deco.

Its public program begins November 11th, 2025,

combining interviews, newly commissioned essays and artworks, the project is culminating in a series of public talks, exhibitions and public interventions.

Featuring the work of egyptian, arab, and international contemporary artists, designers, urbanists and thinkers including omar houssien, ahmed saedi, malak elabd, lamia gouda, nader hafez among others.
